MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE Though not possessed of any actual powers, Clint Barton's ability with a bow and arrow-- and by extension, nearly any ranged weapon-- is nothing short of superhuman. It was these skills that brought Barton to the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., who recruited him, and through whose ranks he rose quickly and decisively, becoming one of the organization's top agents. Although he has long been involved with many of the darker, more shadowy aspects of espionage and intelligence, Clint maintains a strong core morality that serves him well, and a strength of determination that allows him to stand side by side with the rest of the Avengers. Irreverent and sarcastic, Barton is most clearly an effective and accomplished agent, if not always the most disciplined and regularly a particlularly unorthodox one, as most clearly demonstrated by his refusal to follow through on an assassination order that would have cost S.H.I.E.L.D. the services of the Black Widow. Always prepared with a wry remark and a weary sigh, Clint is nonetheless very much one of the hearts of the team. |
Clint's default canon point immediately follows the events of Captain America: Civil War, but this is flexible. I also by default play Clint as not having a wife or family.
